The First Week!

Dear Grade 1 Parents and Students,

Congratulations goes out to your son or daughter who have completed their first week of grade 1!  I've really enjoyed getting to know your child this week and am looking forward to learning more about them and to help guide them in their education.  This week we've been focusing on our routines and expectations of our class and will continue to practice these all year.  After 4 days with your child, I can already tell that they are fast and motivated learners and I'm excited about our year together!

I would just like to remind parents to please check your child's agenda daily.  Even if we don't write anything in their agenda, I would like to have the students get in the habit of taking their agendas home, showing them to you, the parent, and coming back to school with them each day.  Also, to ensure that you've seen any reminders that your child may write in their agenda, I ask if you could please sign that you've seen the message.  Please don't hesitate to write any messages or questions to me in their agenda on the "parent-teacher communication" side as I plan to check their agendas daily.

I continue to look forward to being partners in your child's education and together I know we can have your child reach new heights!

Thank you
Mr. Hinds
