Social Studies

In social studies, we have been focusing on rules, responsibilities, and relationships.  So far we have discussed classroom rules and the reason these rules are made.  We explain that the rules in our school and the classroom are made to ensure safety, cooperation, and respect.  We have begun talking about rules at home and the reason they are made are to teach respect, responsibility, safety, and to stay healthy.  Please talk about the rules you have in your home with your child to make them aware that they are present in your homes and they are important to follow.  Our goal is to have students begin to create their own rules they feel are necessary to have at home.  As the term goes on, we will also discuss rules, relationships, and responsibilities in the community and the importance they have to help our society operate.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for your support
